Should we make this the default setting? Since I dipped my feet into Ruby on
Rails, conventions seem somewhat appealing :)
OTOH, I don't mind to introduce a link resolving mechanism which considers the
inherent extension of resources.
What do the others think?

I have gotten around this by making the live view of a resource be the resource
itself instead of the resource page

If the source extension is not "xml", the source extension is now used as link
extension.
