[jira] [Created] (FLUME-799) Display the name of the file this is currently being written to by collectorSink

Display the name of the file this is currently being written to by collectorSink
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: FLUME-799
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLUME-799
             Project: Flume
          Issue Type: New Feature
            Reporter: Kate Ting

A process which moves files from the hdfs directory to where collectorSink is writing has no way of figuring out which file is being currently written to by collectorSink.

Workaround is to look in the hdfs file directory for the file with a size of zero and a recent timestamp.
