Database browser portlet - Fetch n records

The example db portlets return the entire response to the query.  This
is an issue when a) the response set is very large b) available memory
is small c) both a and b exist.

Can anyone point me to an example DB portlet that utilizes a fetch N
records approach?  Where i can fetch the first 50 records of X, click on
Next to get the next 50, etc.
