[jira] [Commented] (PDFBOX-1574) ImportFDF fails to do anything

Hi Martin,

my interpretation of the code and the FDF spec this issue is not easily solved as we would need to lessen some of the checks which are currently done by the parser. These are fine and needed for a PDF but not needed for FDFs.

As a workaround one could either add the missing information to FDFs or process the FDF using an own class/program.

How dependent are you on really using ImportFDF?

Maruan

> I created a dead-simple PDF with form fields in Acrobat and generated an FDF file from it.
> Tried to run ImportFDF on these files and the resulting file is totally blank.
> Attached are the input files (1.pdf, 1_data.fdf), the result file (2.pdf) and the warnings ImportFDF generated.
