[jira] Created: (MRM-1088) Oracle DB Support

Oracle DB Support
-----------------

                 Key: MRM-1088
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRM-1088
             Project: Archiva
          Issue Type: New Feature
    Affects Versions: 1.1.3
         Environment: Linux
            Reporter: Lou S

Can there be consideration to use Oracle as DB provider for Archiva? This is our standard to ease adoption of this tool across the enterprise. Also, it would be much easier to configure a multi-node environment instead of using Derby.

Lou S commented on MRM-1088:
----------------------------

Well both I guess. I have looked at both the docs and the wiki and there's nothing there with regard to configuring Archiva for Oracle. If it is supported, please regard this as documentation request.

    Fix Version/s: 1.3

you could start here: http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/ARCHIVA/Archiva+with+MySQL

Replace the mysql specifics with your oracle environment and let us know if anything needs customisation. There are some JIRAs related to oracle that you'll find by searching.

-----------------------------------

this should be possible - do you need help configuring it or were you just not aware it could be done?

There are examples on the Wiki for other databases
