jUDDI with Ubuntu

Hello.

I searched for a similar topic, but I did't find here, so I hope this is not a re-post.

I did a Java program to search/publish in the UDDI. I'm using jUDDI, uddi4j as API for access, Apache Tomcat and MySQL. It works well on windows, but when I test on linux (ubuntu 6.01 LTS), it throws an exception when trying to save a business/service:

	at org.uddi4j.UDDIElement.<init>(UDDIElement.java:40)
	at org.uddi4j.response.BindingDetail.<init>(BindingDetail.java:86)
	at org.uddi4j.client.UDDIProxy.save_binding(UDDIProxy.java:1674)
	at publisher.UDDIManager.saveBindings(UDDIManager.java:293)
	at publisher.RegistryServiceManager.createBinding(RegistryServiceManager.java:122)
	at publisher.RegistryServiceManager.publishService(RegistryServiceManager.java:107)
	at publisher.PublishManager.publishElement(PublishManager.java:78)
	at serviceadmin.core.RemoteServiceAdmin.publishElement(RemoteServiceAdmin.java:97)
	at serviceadmin.core.ServiceAdministrator.publishElement(ServiceAdministrator.java:319)
	at test.ManageElements.publishElements(ManageElements.java:251)
	at test.ManageElements.main(ManageElements.java:60)

I searched at the uddi4j code and I found the problem happens in the class UDDIException (called by UDDIElement), during the following method:

   public static boolean isValidElement(Element el) {
       //Is this a SOAP Fault?
       return el.getNamespaceURI().equals(UDDIElement.SOAPNS) && el.getLocalName().equals(UDDI_TAG);
   }

Why this happens on linux and doesn't on windows?

Thanks for the help.
Fernando.

Fernando,

I'm not sure what is going on, but I don't think uddi4j hasn't been updated/supported for a while. I recommend you access the registry via Scout or through the jUDDI API directly.

Regards,

Jeff
