FW: Difference between JRUN & Jakarta Tomcat

Hello,

I'm new to Java etc & I was just wondering if someone could point out the
differences between JRUN & Jakarta Tomcat. Do they work together etc...

I haven't figured out if they serve the same purpose or not. Could someone
enlighten me.

Sorry if this seems obvious to others but a brief explanation would
certainly help.

Thanks for any help.

JRUN 3.0 implements servlet/jsp and ejb portions of J2EE. Tomcat
implements only servlet/jsp, but can be used with other EJB containers,
some open-source, such as jBoss, for example. I used the servlet/jsp
portion of JRun successfully, and am now trying to port my app to
Tomcat...hope this helps, at least a bit...
