odata and identity management

All,
I am not sure this is the right question to ask but I thought of getting
opinion of this matter from odata/olingo experts in this group. Does it
makes sense to create odata APIs(or just plain rest API is fine) for
identity management service(Identity management service supports operations
like creating a user, deleting a user etc). An example of identity
management APIs/operation is from AWS
http://docs.aws.amazon.com/IAM/latest/APIReference/API_Operations.html.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Thanks,
Anurag

Hi,
Apache Syncope [1] is an identity manager exposing all of its features
via a JAX-RS 2.0 REST API (see reference [2]).

Even if not (yet?) OData-compliant, such REST interface is heavily
inspired by OData.

list.

Regards.
