[jira] Created: (JCR-730) Remove the Hibernate dependency from orm-persistence

Remove the Hibernate dependency from orm-persistence
----------------------------------------------------

                 Key: JCR-730
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-730
             Project: Jackrabbit
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: contrib PMs
            Reporter: Jukka Zitting

The LGPL license of Hibernate prevents it from being bundled in our releases. The dependency should thus be dropped from the orm-persistence component, perhaps by replacing with JPA to make the underlying persistence mechanism pluggable.
