Apache Flex GitHub Mirror Sync

I just noticed that there's a GitHub mirror that's being mirrored from the
Apache Git repository. I also noticed it hasn't been synced in 12 days but
we've had commits during that time. That leads me to the question, how
often does the GitHub mirror get updated? Is that something we need to
trigger manually or is it on some sort of cron job?

I would be afraid to venture a guess. Hopefully "soon".

Thank you Alex for the clarification. Do you have any idea of when Adobe will be done with the details and will make an announcement ?

(Sorry if I'm asking questions that are already answered on an official blog or somewhere, I couldn't find it by myself but if it's the case then please just point me into the right direction.)

Adobe is still working out the details on this matter. But if I get my way,
then yes.

About Adobe automation libraries

Posted by "GRANDRIE Matthieu (Ext)" <ma...@novacom-services.com>.
Hello
I have a question about the future of Adobe's automation libraries of the SDK : automation.swc, automation_spark.swc, automation_dmv.swc, automation_agent.swc.
You need these libs when you want to use some automatic testing tools such as FlexMonkey.
In the latest releases of the Adobe Flex SDK, these libs where provided as evaluation, without the source code, and you could try to use them for a few automated requests but very quickly you got an message saying that you had to purchase a license to be able to make full use of the automation libs.
Yet I've read on the official Adobe Flex blog that:

"Regarding the incubation proposals, we have received all of the necessary Adobe legal clearance in order to contribute the full Flex SDK (including MXML compiler, automation libraries and data visualization components) to Apache."
Source : http://blogs.adobe.com/flex/2011/12/an-update-on-flex.html

So just to make things clear, does that mean that in next releases of the SDK that Apache is working on, these libs will be included and it'll be no longer mandatory to purchase an extra license to run automation tools like FlexMonkey ?

Thanks
Matt

This is fixed now, https://github.com/apache/flex-whiteboard correctly
mirrors Flex svn's whiteboard folder.

I reopened https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4366 for this,
looks like it's not configured correctly.

Awesome, thanks for those links. One question though, I do see the
flex-whiteboard.git listed at http://git.apache.org/, but when you go to
https://github.com/apache/flex-whiteboard its empty.

I think there's one already, see the list at http://git.apache.org/

I don't think you can do that directly with our current setup, but
this is something that people are working on, see
http://git-wip-us.apache.org/

That would be the current workflow, see the docs that
http://git.apache.org/ points to.

Nevermind, I just realized the GitHub mirror is only of the trunk and not
the whiteboard areas etc. So I have some questions... would it be possible
to get a mirror of the whiteboard? I think GitHub is a nice place for
collaborating with other non-committers so it would be nice to be able to
do that type of whiteboard collaboration on GitHub. My other question is
about the sync, is that one way only? Like if we had a mirror for the
whiteboard, and I fork my whiteboard into my GitHub account, can I get pull
requests back into my whiteboard and back into SVN? Or do I have to handle
that with my personal fork on my GitHub account and create patches of that
to bring back into SVN? Sorry for so many questions, appreciate your
responses.

https://github.com/apache/flex/commits/trunk and
https://github.com/apache/flex look in sync to me, where do you see
something out of sync?
