   This is a copy of [this PR](https://github.com/apache/incubator-superset/pull/4727) with a fix for the istanbul build. After trying a million things I think the easiest fix is to ignore the `visualizations/index.js` file in coverage 🤷‍♀️ 
   
   Perf improvements should match those in the previous PR.
