[jira] [Commented] (FLINK-14892) Add documentation for checkpoint
directory layout
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-14892?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16980036#comment-16980036 ]
Piotr Nowojski commented on FLINK-14892:
----------------------------------------
I think we can document this. Maybe it's worth adding that this directory structure is not part of a public API and can be changed in future releases?

> Project: Flink

> In FLINK-8531, we change the checkpoint directory layout to
> {code:java}
> /user-defined-checkpoint-dir
> |
> + --shared/
> + --taskowned/
> + --chk-00001/
> + --chk-00002/
> + --chk-00003/
> ...
> {code}
> But the directory layout did not describe in the doc currently, and I found some users confused about this, such as[1][2], so I propose to add a description for the checkpoint directory layout in the documentation, maybe in the page {{checkpoints#DirectoryStructure}}[3]
