> We encountered a problem with `std::regex` crashing on RHEL-8 in release builds, and the first fix we found that worked was to switch to `boost::regex`.  We're filing bugs with RedHat and GNU, so if/when the issue is resolved we will need to verify the fix and revert the workaround.  We should be using `std::` objects whenever possible, certainly for something as mainstream as `regex`.
