[jira] Created: (WW-1498) Add a Dependency Injection library to
wire internals of Struts framework and plugins
Add a Dependency Injection library to wire internals of Struts framework and plugins
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: WW-1498
URL: http://issues.apache.org/struts/browse/WW-1498
Project: Struts 2
Issue Type: New Feature
Components: Configuration
Reporter: Don Brown
Assigned To: Don Brown
Fix For: 2.0.2
At the core of Struts, we should have a simple dependency injection engine that wires together major Struts components and constants/settings. This would allow us to support more powerful, self-configuring plugins and simplify our internal architecture, removing the need for most statics and factories.
