If you are making changes, please do so against either the v2 branch or the
merger branch.  Preferably against the latter, which will become the trunk
after I get it finished and working.  Off-hand, we need to finish merging
the Avalon changes from Component to Service and correct some package
movement.  Then we need to make sure that nothing fell through the cracks.

I am seriously contemplating removng fetchpop, unless users tell us that
they need it.
