portlets linking to other portlets

Hi,

    We have a number of users interested in creating portlets that 
contain hyperlinks to other portlets. We (gridsphere portal) provide a 
mechanism for doing this and it's completely in line with the JSR 
specification however, it is portal vendor specific since other portals 
will not necessarily recognize our render parameters. Is this something 
that could be considered as an enhancement to the spec. for the next 
round? Also, a general question: is there a list somewhere of all items 
under consideration as enhancements to the spec? And finally, what does 
one have to do to get involved in the JCP? :-)

When will that be, and will it be possible (/likely) to join that group -
or will it only the same bunch as last time?

Hi Jason,
1. sure, everything can be proposed when the follow-on version of JSR 
168 starts
2. no, there is no such list besides the appendix in the current spec. 
The spec leads of the follow-on JSR will decide this together with the 
new Expert Group.
3. you need to become JCP member and apply for an EG that you are 
interested in. Then it is up to the spec lead of this JSR to accept you 
or not for the EG. Or you can provide feedback for JSRs that have frist 
drafts or public drafts.
