log4j.jar vs log4j-core.jar in Oracle

Anyone gotten only log4j-core.jar loaded into the DB
and worked?

We are currently loading log4.jar AND crimson.jar and
jaxp.jar. We would prefer not to have to load
crimson.jar and jaxp.jar just to use log4j...Any ideas
anyone?

Thanks...

You can configure log4j through properties files instead of xml files, in
which case you do not need a xml parser. I use log4j like that.

Examples in the documentation that comes with log4j.
