   @srowen I am not sure what you mean by "I don't think we'd necessarily need JIRAs for these". Anyway, just to answer your question:

   Yes, that's why I mentioned SPARK-17895, because that change introduced some clarification in the scala doc, which weren't (and now we can) ported to python/R.
