Feedback on TomEE 1.7.1
Hi All
The tar and zip files, none of them available at
http://tomee.apache.org/downloads.html, can be untarred or unzipped. Please
help. I keep getting the error...
[root@localhost ~]# tar -zxvf apache-tomee-1.7.1-webprofile.tar.gz
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
[root@localhost ~]# gpg --verify apache-tomee-1.7.1-plume.tar.gz.asc
apache-tomee-1.7.1-plume.tar.gz
gpg: Signature made Fri 12 Sep 2014 07:16:34 AM CDT using RSA key ID
6D545F97
gpg: BAD signature from "Andy Gumbrecht (TomEE Code Signing) <
agumbrecht@tomitribe.com>"

Hi,
I've just downloaded the file you've mentioned from this mirror:
http://ftp-stud.hs-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/ftp.apache.org/dist/tomee/tomee-1.7.1/apache-tomee-1.7.1-webprofile.tar.gz
Unpacking the archive succeeded without any problem. So either you've
chosen a non-working mirror (would be nice to know which one you've
used) or something happend with your connection. The archive has exactly
the size of 30656166 bytes.
Apart from that it makes no sense to check the signature if a file could
not be downloaded correctly.
I suspect that you did something like 'wget'/'curl' for the links that
are provided on the download page. These links are just pointing to a
selection of mirrors so if you did so you need to download the files
from there (f.e.
http://mirror.netcologne.de/apache.org/tomee/tomee-1.7.1/apache-tomee-1.7.1-plume.tar.gz).
