[Book] Where are the image sources?

Hi everyone

I want to ask a few questions because I'm on the way to translate the
English subverison book to German (chapter 4-6, the missing one). Gere there
are:

Are there any sources (like gimp files) for the pictures in
../subversion/doc/book/images/ ?

Who made this pictures? Could I ask him or her for the sources?

Thank you and a nice day

regards

Matthias

It seems like a lot of work to redraw the diagrams from scratch. Do
you really want to do that?

Is the problem that the Powerpoint sources are too unfriendly a format?
Maybe we should convert them to OpenOffice format?

We made most of the pictures in Powerpoint, originally. Then O'Reilly
re-drew them, but didn't give us the sources, only the images.

Look back in the history of /trunk/doc/book/, and you'll find the
original Powerpoint files.

The architecture diagram (in chapter 1) is an OmniGraffle file, and the
source is in the www/ directory.

Also, I've just mailed O'Reilly, and asked if they can send us their
image source files... they were done in Macromedia Freehand and Adobe
Photoshop. It would be nice to have those.

If you don't want to do all the work from scratch, you can modify the
existing Gimp files in doc/translations/norwegian_nb/book/images/ and
just add the German text. They include layers that remove the English
text and has additional Norwegian layers on top which you can easily
remove. AFAIK the files are also set up to use a quite similar font as
in the original files.
