   Thank you very much for bringing this forward. OSGI compliance is very important
   
   I believe that you are targeting the wrong branch.
   branch-3.5.9 is a temporary branch (that we did not haved nuked) used to cut 3.5.9.
   
   you could target branch-3.5, that is the main release branch for the 3.5 release line.
   
   that said....ZooKeeper 3.5 is now very old, we already released 3.6.x and 3.7.x and we are going to cut 3.8.x
   
   I suggest to work on master branch, we could port the changes to other old branches, but **personally** (this is not an official position of the project) I do not expect more releases from ZK 3.5 apart from security bug fixes
