[jira] [Created] (AMBARI-22801) Configuration overwritten during Add Host/Add Service in Kerberized Cluster

Robert Levas created AMBARI-22801:
-------------------------------------

             Summary: Configuration overwritten during Add Host/Add Service in Kerberized Cluster
                 Key: AMBARI-22801
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-22801
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: ambari-server
    Affects Versions: 2.4.0
            Reporter: Paul Codding
            Assignee: Robert Levas
             Fix For: 3.0.0

There are side effects of Add Host/Add Service in kerberized clusters that have common properties customized. In this situation the customer installs HDP, kerberizes the cluster, makes their configuration property customizations for their environment, and then after that if they add a host or service their configuration customizations are overwritten.

Here are examples of the properties that are commonly customized and have been known to be overwritten during add host/service:
* yarn.admin.acl
* yarn.resourcemanager.proxy-user-privileges.enabled
* yarn.timeline-service.http-authentication.cookie.domain
* yarn.timeline-service.http-authentication.signature.secret.file
* capacity-scheduler.xml configuration
* auth_to_local customizations

Note: This may also occur during the "Regenerate Keytabs" operation.
