i used HSSFSheet.protectSheet() method , it only can prevent from being
edited,can not stop readers to select and copy excel content,i wonder how to
make it.

Whilst I know that it is possible to exercise this level of control now, was
it the case for ealrlier versions of Excel, version 97 for example? The HSSF
stream targets the file binary file format at quite an early stage to ensure
that it is compatible with as many versions of the application as possible
and I am wondering if it was even possible at that time to prevent users
from selecting and copying cells. Hopefully comeone who still has an earlier
version of the package installed can answer this question.

HSSFSheet.protectSheet() implements default protection options. Custom
protection like prevention cells from being copied is not supported.
