Bad image colours using new overlay code

We're seeing an issue where an image's colours are being changed during the
use of the new overlay utility.

Here's the source:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ysjnow12ulw95pb/source.pdf
The overlay:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3akrux8jdv2hstl/WatermarkA4Portrait.pdf

And the result of the new overlay:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/do7dtm0elxxqxc6/result.pdf

Can anyone shed some light onto this?

Thanks,

James

well it seems that 1.8.x introduced that issue as trying your file with 1.7.1 seems to work well. Maybe you can verify that and follow the progress on https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-1615

Version 1.8.1.

We used the original Overlay utility and the newer OverlayPDF utility via
cmd line.

Both with the same image problems.

Hi,

which version of PDFBox are you using? How did you call the Overlay process?
