[jira] [Commented] (MINIFI-25) Change Shutdown Hook to use a Logger

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MINIFI-25?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15256398#comment-15256398 ]

Joseph Percivall commented on MINIFI-25:
----------------------------------------

This is not as simple as it sounds because the logging manager utilizes a shutdown hook as well in order to to shutdown it's manager. This causes problems when trying to use the logger in ShutdownHook.java in which the logging statements are not logged because the logging manager is already shut/shutting down.

I am not sure the best option to proceed to change the ShutdownHook.

> Currently ShutdownHook.java uses System.out.println() instead of a logger. This should be changed to use a proper logger.
