Adding new Patch to Validator.java
1) Refactored Validator to move common functionality to separate functions.
2) Also added method setResource with the same parameter signature as
addResource. New resources will replace old resources with the same key, so
the actual intent is to set the resource to a particular value, rather than to
add another value for that resource.
Note that all tests, including those new ones submitted as a patch here,
continue to pass successfully.
