[jira] [Created] (INFRA-3757) Delete buildr dist files

Delete buildr dist files
------------------------

                 Key: INFRA-3757
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-3757
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Task
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
            Reporter: Alex Boisvert
            Priority: Trivial

Could somebody from infra delete the following:

/x1/www/www.apache.org/content/dist/buildr/1.4.0 (recursively)
/x1/www/www.apache.org/content/dist/buildr/KEYS

I do not have the permissions to do so myself. (I am the Buildr project PMC chair)

PS: Alternatively, you can make the files group-writable for the "buildr" group and I'll take care of the deletion myself.

thanks!

    Resolution: Invalid

Alex,

These were valid of the time of release I presume, so they are still valid now. Albeit you're now a TLP, the versions of these are tagged with -incubating.

Closing as invalid.

Thanks guys. I'll take care of deleting the duplicate incubator file from the (non-incubator) download area.

    Resolution: Fixed
      Assignee: (was: Gavin)

Alex, everything has been removed except for the stuff in the incubator archives area.
I think you will find that releases made under the Incubator do not get removed from the Incubator archives area, they do get removed from the Incubator dist area once you have a new TLP release, that part I have done.

What I think you will find is that if anything, the incubating releases you copied to the TLP area is more likley a candidate for removal than the originals.

You may check with the Incubator PMC folks and also http://incubator.apache.org/guides/graduation.html#life-after-graduation . Please re-open if you get an answer from the Incubator PMC as to which copies of the *-incubating releases, if any, should be removed from the 'archives' area.

(NB - Archives are archives and normal policy dictates nothing gets removed from any archive area unless a mistake.)

gmcdonald: because all the distributions are already under the non-incubator dist area. No need to keep duplicate copies.
