   This has been implemented via [MSHARED-1466] in maven-archiver 3.6.5 / 4.0.0-beta-5 and maven-jar-plugin 3.4.3: a `Java-Version` entry is now added to the default `MANIFEST.MF`, populated from `maven.compiler.release` / `maven.compiler.target` (or the corresponding compiler plugin configuration).
