[jira] [Comment Edited] (MAHOUT-1798) mahout -version

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAHOUT-1798?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15191819#comment-15191819 ]

----------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure what this is for. The release artifacts very clearly have the release# tagged in the artifact names starting from Mahout 0.10.0 release

0.10.1/apache-mahout-distribution-0.10.1-src.tar.gz
0.11.2/0.10.1/apache-mahout-distribution-0.11.2-src.tar.gz

I think this is a non-issue and can be closed.

> Would be nice to offer a `mahout -version` flag like Java so people can find out what they're working with on systems they don't maintain.
