Problem with James Quickstart steps
hi
i am tryting to configure james 2.2.0 in my XP.I installed james and i
tried to configure it.At that time i had chance to see ur site
http://wiki.apache.org/james/JamesQuickstart.I followed the steps as u
mentioned.I changed
1.
<servernames> <servername> sentienthealth.com </servername> </servernames>
2.
<dnsserver> <servers> <server> 202.172.255.166</server>
</servers> <authoritative> false </authoritative> </dnsserver>
After editing config.xml file i telneted to localhost 4555 and add user
name and quit. But according to step 12 : Send mail to your test user i
try to send mail to testuser(what i added in telnet localhost 4555)
everything OK ,
BUT ...after giving
subject: testing at testuser
Test
after sometime it gives the following error:
451 Error processing message: Error in input stream; nested Exception is
java.net.SocketTimeOut Exception: read timed out
Please give me ur valuable suggestions...If possible give me a suitable
links for james configuration with sample testing .I am new to this field
Thanks and Regards
Revathy

If you did this correctly check your firewall settings.
