[jira] [Commented] (DAFFODIL-2549) daffodil: unparse result incongruent w/ parse/diff/xmllint

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DAFFODIL-2549?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17387384#comment-17387384 ]

Steve Lawrence commented on DAFFODIL-2549:
------------------------------------------

The schema in your zip file xs:include's the {{defaults.dfdl.xsd}} schema, but that file is not include in the ZIP so I can't compile your schema to try to reproduce this. Can you attach your defaults.dfdl.xsd file?

Also, can you include the stacktrace that should be printed after the "An unexpected exception occurred" message?

And to answer the question at the end, since the diff/xmllint succeed, likely what is happening is there is some error happening after daffodil has completed unparsing, for example during cleanup. So the unparse finished, but then some bug occurs which causes an exception and the non-zero exit code. If we can reproduce this or get the stacktrace, we could have a better idea of where things are going wrong.
