"string" type parsing missing?

Testing using Python's xmlrpclib, I got this error when trying to call a
method taking a string parameter:
0: 'Failed to parse XML-RPC request: Unknown type: string'

Also, testing using the new XmlRpcClient, I get a parse failure from the
following response:
<?xml version="1.0"
encoding="UTF-8"?><methodResponse><params><param><value><array><data><value><array><data><value>array</value><value>string</value></data></array></value></data></array></value></param></params></methodResponse>

The traceback is:

thanks for the reports. Both should be fixed. Please understand, that
this took my time for today, so I will be looking at your patch in
XMLRPC-76 tomorrow.
