Possible BUG in 5.3-alpha-13 : Parameter in Child default value in
Parent throws Exception
Hi,
I would like to know if the following is a bug or a feature of tapestry 5.3
because it works in 5.2.5.
I get the following exception:
Unable to locate Method public java.lang.String getDefaultParam1():
com.test.components.Child.getDefaultParam1()
Child.tml
<t:container xmlns:t="http://tapestry.apache.org/schema/tapestry_5_1_0.xsd">
${param1}
</t:container>
public class Child extends Parent{
@Property
@Parameter(value="defaultParam1")
private String param1;
}
The parent doesn' have a template
public class Parent
{
@Log
public String getDefaultParam1(){
return "Default value for parameter 1 in parent";
}
}
tapestry: 5.3-alpha-13
java: openjdk version: 1.6.0_22 32 bit
os: ubuntu 11.04

It does work when I do it using tapestry compiled from source (build using
eclipse not as a jar) i.e. if i try it in integration app1 it works.
But if I gradle install tapestry trunk in the local m2 repo or download it
from here: https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/staging/
<https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/staging/>
it gives the exception. IDK if it is a tapestry problem or not but still
here is a small maven project (the archetype generated project with changed
tapestry version 5.3-alpha-13 and added repository) to try out if you want.
