Thanks [~botong] for the clarification. With the additional context, I am leaning towards either extending {{LogAggregationService}} to make the app root directory configurable or push it down completely to {{AppLogAggregatorImpl}} rather than make it completely pluggable. 

[~jlowe]/[~jianhe]/[~vvasudev], any thoughts/suggestions as you guys are more intimately familiar with NM?
