doubles to strings and string to doubles.

 
  Double To String.
  apr provides apr_snprintf for a thread safe conversion from a double to a string.  It looks like it mimics "C" conversion.  Can anyone confirm that?

  Does anyone know if there is a thread-safe atof() implementation available.  a.k.a. independent of setlocale()?
