javascript helper
I'm not sure how much of the core wicket framework programatically creates
javascript, but I've been doing it a lot lately for the wicket-stuff
scriptaculous project. I've written a helper class that has *drastically*
cleaned up the Java code and made building javascript within Java pretty
painless. If anyone is interested in using this in a seperate project, or
the core, let me know.

I had no good reason for using EasyMock other than easiness. Please drop it
in favor of WicketTester. If you could commit against trunk that would be
great, because that is what I am developing against now.
thanks,
jim

Thank you. I committed your work with some adaptations for Wicket
1.2 and JDK < 1.5 in wicket-stuff's WICKET_1_2 branch. I still
have to commit your patch in trunk.
BTW I had to use WicketTester instead of EasyMock because Wicket
1.2 has no interface for Response. Do you think EasyMock
still makes sense for trunk, or can we drop it in favour of
WicketTester? I don't immediately see the benefit of adding yet
another library, but I can be wrong?

Hello James,
Yes please! I'm maintaining VelocityPanel and definitely looking
for a VelocityHeaderContributor for my Dojo stuff.
Thanks in advance,

I created a VelocityHeaderContributor for this. It's a small thing,
essentially just a merging of StringHeaderContributor and VelocityPanel, but
if there is any interest I can supply a patch. It also provides an
IInitializer for Velocity, in case you want to take advantage of Velocity's
resource loaders and caching.
thanks,

There is also HeaderContributor.forJavaScript and JavaScriptTemplate
(TextTemplateHeaderContributor).
