[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-13342) Remove dom4j from Solr

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-13342?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16799509#comment-16799509 ]

Erick Erickson commented on SOLR-13342:
---------------------------------------

Looks good to me. Precommit passes, I can "ant package". The exploded package only has the dom jars in contrib (pending veolcity I think?).

I'm running the full test suite now, but don't anticipate any troubles, if I don't get back with another message tonight, assume success....

> dom4j is used in exactly one file in Solr, and it's a test:  AddBlockUpdateTest
> It seems like overkill to bloat the distro with that jar for one test, can we change the test to use something else and remove dom4j from our distro?
> IDK whether there are transitive dependencies though.
