[jira] Commented: (TAP5-142) HTML Button component with Form support

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAP5-142?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12700037#action_12700037 ]

Ville Virtanen commented on TAP5-142:
-------------------------------------

No that IE8 handles buttons correctly they will be viable option to input type submit etc, once ie6 and ie 7 market share lowers. Tapestry should provide this component and let the developers choose whether to use it or not.

When all browsers support button then the styling of buttons can finally be varied as much as wanted.

> This patch supply the component for HTML 4 button element (<button>) with Form support when the button type is "submit" which is the default and act as the Submit component.
> Button elements are preferable over Submit in terms of flexibility and CSS-awarness.
> The code needs to be cleaned an i happily do that if there's enough interest in it.
> The patch contain unit and integration tests.
