[jira] Created: (TAPESTRY-1621) T5 should be able to produce well
formed xml
T5 should be able to produce well formed xml
--------------------------------------------
Key: TAPESTRY-1621
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAPESTRY-1621
Project: Tapestry
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: tapestry-core
Affects Versions: 5.0.5
Reporter: Martin Grotzke
Right now, T5 produces traditional HTML markup that is not well formed XML.
Based on the DOCTYPE of the template, T5 should produce the according markup, e.g. well-formed XHTML/XML or legacy HTML.
According to HLS there needs to be a negotiation between the MarkupWriterFactory service and the page that does the rendering to determine the correct MarkupWriter configuration for the result.
