   ### Description
   
    **Broken Tracing Chain with Spring Kafka 3.1.0+**: With Spring Kafka 3.1.0+ and kafka-clients 3.7.1+, the `DefaultKafkaConsumerFactory` class introduced an inner class `ExtendedKafkaConsumer`. This change caused the tracing chain to break when microservice use kafka-clients 3.7.1 and spring-kafka 3.1.0+, as the existing Kafka plugin instrumentation was not compatible with this new class structure.
   
   ### Use case
   
   When microservices use Spring Kafka 3.1.0+ with Kafka clients version 3.7.1+, the Kafka consumer call chain remains unbroken.
