I am not a committer yet and if I open a Jira issue I become reporter of it. Then if I apply a patch and resolve it tooltip at Resolved says that: "A resolution has been taken, and it is awaiting verification by reporter." However  I am the reporter but I don't have a right to verify it. So we can add a generic message for it as like: "A resolution has been taken, and it is awaiting verification." to avoid confusion.
