There are more usages of {{grep}} and {{egrep}} in various scripts ({{bin/cassandra}}, {{conf/cassandra-env.sh}}, {{debian/init}}, {{debian/nodetool-completion}}, {{test/resources/functions/configure_cassandra.sh}}). Are these also affected?
