FWIW, the staging repo was https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachehbase-1035. I announced it here: http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/hbase-dev/201409.mbox/%3CCA+RK=_CXOwRco-Atnx8Wb4REKvdV1Y9FqHQWvA=FLvoRxnBXaA@mail.gmail.com%3E .  Up until now I haven't had a problem with these being deleted. After a passing RC vote I've been able to take the release action on the staging repo.
