Maven repository works and I can consume the release candidate artifacts
as a dependency in other projects.
The maven plugin works.  Projects that use Avro pass tests.

src and doc tarball md5s check out.

A scan of the documentation looks good.

./build.sh clean test

works from the unpacked tarball as expected on OSX Snow Leopard.
java, python, ruby, c, and php build and test successfully.
(c++ and csharp do not build on my platform)
