Dependency ID parser

Hello all,

Does anybody know whether there is a parser in the Maven project that
parses dependency ID
(<groupId>:<arifactId>:<type>[:<classifier>]:<version>) and returns an
Artifact object?
If yes, in which module/class can I look at the implementation?
