   ### Summary
   **Products → Savings Products → Create** offers only Name, Short Name, Description, Currency, Decimal Places, Nominal Annual Interest Rate and Accounting rule. The rest of what Fineract needs to define a savings product is either **silently hard-coded** or **not available**.
   
   ### Environment
   - App: https://aman-mittal.github.io/fineract-backoffice-ui (deployed `main`), `/products/savings/create`
   - Source: `src/app/features/products/savings-product-form.component.ts` (`origin/main` @ `8da1086f`)
   - 2026-10-16
   
   ### Steps to reproduce
   1. Open **Create Savings Product** and look at the available fields (7 controls in total).
   2. Create a product and inspect the request.
   
   ### Expected behavior
   The settings an institution has to choose per product are editable, with the platform template supplying the options.
   
   ### Actual behavior
   `POST /savingsproducts` sent:
   ```json

   - **Hard-coded, not shown:** compounding = Daily, posting = Monthly, calculation = Daily Balance, days in year = 365 (component lines ~311–314).
   - **Absent:** minimum opening balance, lock-in period, withdrawal fee for transfers, allow overdraft and overdraft limit, minimum required balance and enforcement, withhold tax / tax group, dormancy tracking, charges, interest rate for overdraft, min balance for interest calculation.
   
   Editing is safe: the form reloads the four hard-coded values from the product, and `PUT` is partial, so settings made elsewhere aren't overwritten.
   
   ### Impact
   An institution can't create a quarterly-posting product, an average-daily-balance product, a product with a minimum balance or an overdraft product from this UI. A product created here gets interest semantics the user never saw or chose.
   
   ### Suggested investigation
   Drive the form from `GET /savingsproducts/template` (compounding, posting, calculation and days-in-year options, charges, tax groups). Group the optional settings into collapsible sections as the loan product form does.
   
   ### Verification status
   Confirmed live (form and payload) and in source.
   
   ### Related endpoints
   `GET /savingsproducts/template`, `POST /savingsproducts`, `PUT /savingsproducts/{id}`
   
   ### Acceptance criteria
   - Compounding, posting, calculation and days-in-year are selectable and default from the template.
   - Minimum opening balance, lock-in, overdraft (with limit), minimum required balance and charges can be set and round-trip on edit.
