   I think it's a bug in the snap package. I could reproduce it. The user directory needs some cleanup. I guess you were using the NB16u1 updates.
   
   Easy workaround is:
   ```
   rm $HOME/snap/netbeans/current/modules/gradle/netbeans-gradle-tooling.jar
   ```
