Mostly a note to write a recipe out the question that was discussed on the user mailing list ( https://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/arrow-user/202111.mbox/%3CCANCoaU4NZ1s3ErvqT6fiX_OSE%3DLv4%3DJE1b0OGXvXk_HZL0VHKw%40mail.gmail.com%3E ). I felt it was a good topic for a recipe as it's a fairly common need.

What's the precise intention here? (the title of the issue doesn't seem to fully match what you did)

A related JIRA: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARROW-13035. With something like that you could get the indices of the True values after checking for a condition (also answered about that on the mailing list)
