[jira] [Commented] (FALCON-1946) Compile time error in build

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FALCON-1946?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15280276#comment-15280276 ]

Balu Vellanki commented on FALCON-1946:
---------------------------------------

[~Praveen] : We see this warning thrown during build
{code}
[WARNING] Some problems were encountered while building the effective model for org.apache.falcon:falcon-prism:war:0.10-SNAPSHOT
[WARNING] 'build.plugins.plugin.version' for org.codehaus.mojo:keytool-maven-plugin is missing. @ org.apache.falcon:falcon-prism:[unknown-version], /Users/bvellanki/SourceCode/apache-falcon/falcon/prism/pom.xml, line 182, column 21
[WARNING]
{code}

The keytool-maven-plugin expects a version, I used 1.3 and the build went through without any failure. I just re-ran the build and it went through successfully in my environment. Upon further debugging and searching on internet I found out that it fails when using JDK1.8 but succeeds with JDK1.7.

> Hi All,
> Currently build is failing in local with the pom changes of prism that went in FALCON-1940.
> [~bvellanki] Can you look into this any specific reason we added version 1.3 for keytool.maven.plugin ?
