Jasper-generated java files in Tomcat4.1.10

Hello,

Does anybody know why Jasper compiler in version 4.1.10 stopped generating
comments with line number mapping information?
Previous version (4.0.4) put in the generated code comments like this

 // begin [file="/jsp/snp/snoop.jsp";from=(16,3);to=(16,37)]

in the generated code, which helped a lot in building jsp-to-servlet and
servlet-to-jsp line mappings.
Is there a way to force jasper 4.1.10 to generate such comments or this
functionality is completely missing from the new implementation?
